An accessible website for South Lakes Citizens Advice

Accessible website design for a local charity

Citizens Advice offices provide much-needed help in the community and need to raise their own funding to continue the service. Our brief was to build an easy-to-use site to help people to find the information they were searching for, as well as to help find supporters and increase donations.

We were careful to ensure that we build a highly accessible website. Our careful use of colours and provision of a control to increase the font size was much appreciated by the visually-impaired people who tested the site prior to launch.

We provided a Google Translate button to cater for those users who do not have English as a first language. Donations can be made directly on the site via PayPal.

The Citizens advice organisation have recently produced new branding guidelines, which was very useful in ensuring the website branding was consistent with future publications and media.
